Take a look inside this unique space where design meets craftsmanship. Where the son takes after his father, but in his own special way.

To be a creator and to have the space to create is a wonderful feeling.

  • Me and my father.

It's an eternal theme. Our parents are often our role models as well as the ones we want to run away from. I never intended to follow my father's footsteps. I was not attracted to his craft during puberty, nor later. In elementary school I had no plan of what I was going to do and I didn't care. I didn't care about tomorrow or what would come after that, so when my father suggested I go and study bag making, I simply agreed.

A few years I started working for him. At that time my friends started to ask me to make them some cool bag, and I just gave it a try. And that became the greatest adventure for me! I enjoyed the proces of creating it, coming up with new ways, moving forward while also being both - my own critic and the biggest fan. The joy of the process itself was what kept me going.

These were the times when I'd completely lose track of time and everything else happening around me. I think this is what happens when you find the thing that is really yours. I looked back one day and realized I had created Playbag. We still share the office with my dad. We work side by side and we get along quite well. He makes work clothes and assembly bags, and I make bags and fashion accessories.

I love being part of the process when something new is created. To be a creator and to have the space to create is a wonderful feeling.
